Las Tres Brujas

Known as “The Three Witches,” Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington and Kati Horna are three artists who found themselves exiled in Mexico City escaping war and revolution. Each carving their unique path as surrealist artists, they rely on their art, friendship and alchemy to get through life. 

Growing up in Mexico City, this trio of artists has always been a part of my life, becoming some of my biggest idols and inspirations. This piece is a *relatively* biographical spread of an average evening with “The Three Witches”, making surrealist potions, taking photos of each other and sharing art and laughter.
